Step 1 : Open the machine and disconnect power
Step 2 : Press Power Button (PWRB) to turn on mother board and wait for a few seconds to reach operating temperature. After this press PWRB again. See if you can hear fans working as well as LED indicator lights on your motherboard.
(LED indicator lights may go red or yellow.) If it doesn’t work, do not proceed any further with testing sata ports. If any LED light is yellow/red-colored then the SATA ports are OK otherwise they will have an issue in order to test them.
