Do you want to buy a new laptop but don’t know if you should get 16GB or 18GB of RAM?
There’s no doubt that having enough memory is important for running programs efficiently.
However, there’s also no denying that the price of RAM has dropped significantly over the last few years.
So, which version of RAM should you choose?
In this blog post I’m going to compare two different versions of RAM – CL18 and CL16.
What Does CL Mean?
CL stands for Capacity RAM and L stands for Latency. So if we compare two different memory chips, say CL18 and CL16, then CL18 has 18 times higher capacity than CL16. But CL18 has lower latency than CL16. So what does this mean? Well, let’s take an example. Let’s assume that we have 2GB of RAM in our computer system. Now, if we install 1GB of RAM into our computer, then the total capacity of our computer will become 3GB. However, if we install 2GB of RAM into our PC, then the total capacity will become 4GB. In other words, we have increased the capacity of our computer by installing 2GB of RAM. However, the latency of our computer will remain same because we have not changed anything about the hardware. Now, if we install 3GB of RAM into our system, then the total capacity becomes 6GB but the latency will decrease from 2 seconds to 0.5 seconds. This is because we have installed 3GB of RAM into the system. Thus, we have decreased the latency of our
CAS Latency
CAS Latency is the delay between when a command is sent to the processor and when the data is actually processed. It is measured in nanoseconds 1/1000th of a second. A low CAS Latency indicates better performance.
RAM Latency
RAM latency is the delay between when data is written into memory and when it becomes available to the CPU. It is measured in microseconds 1/10th of a millisecond. A lower RAM latency indicates better performance.
How CAS Latency Plays Into RAM Speed and Latency
CAS Compare And Swap latency refers to how long it takes for the processor to detect that the value stored in the cache line is different from what’s currently being used. This is important because if the processor detects that the value stored in a cache line is different from the current value being used, it needs to fetch the new value from main memory. In other words, the processor needs to wait until the data is fetched from main memory before it can begin processing the instruction.
How Different CPUs Affect RAM Performance
RAM performance is affected by many factors such as CPU architecture, operating system, and applications running on the computer.

Intel CPUs Answer: ## # Question: What is the difference between a CPU and a GPU? Answer: A CPU Central Processing Unit is a single processing unit used in computers to execute instructions from software programs. It is the main component of a computer’s central processing unit. A GPU Graphics Processing Unit is a specialized processor designed to perform graphics calculations. GPUs are found in article game consoles, personal computers, and embedded systems.

Is Higher CL Better?
Intel Core i7-8700K 6 core 12 thread 3.9GHz $499.99 Intel Core i5-8600K 4 core 8 thread 3.6GHz $299.99 Intel Core X-7500 2 core 4 thread 3.1GHz $199.99
How Do I Know if My RAM is CL?
CL stands for CAS Latency. It is basically how fast data moves from the processor to the memory. A higher CL means faster access times. This is important because it allows the CPU to run faster and perform better.
Can You Mix RAM With Different CL?
Yes, but only if you know what you are doing. The main thing to remember here is that mixing different types of RAM will not give you any performance gains. What Are the Benefits of Using DDR3 Memory? Answer: DDR3 is the latest generation of DRAM Dynamic Random Access Memory. It is used in computers and other devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and gaming consoles. DDR3 is faster than previous generations of RAM and uses less power. How Can I Upgrade my PC’s RAM? Answer: Upgrading your computer’s RAM is easy. Just follow these steps: 1 Remove the old RAM modules from the motherboard. 2 Install the new RAM modules into the slots. 3 Reinstall the original operating system. 4 Restart your computer. 5 Check your computer’s BIOS to ensure that it recognizes the new RAM. 6 Run Windows Update to download any necessary drivers. 7 Reboot your computer. 8 Test your computer’s RAM. 9 Enjoy!
What does CL18 mean on RAM?
RAM Random Access Memory is a type of computer memory used to temporarily store data while it is being processed. This data is called “working set”. Working sets are usually very large, but they are not permanent; they are only stored in RAM until they are needed again.
What does CL16 18 18 mean?
CL18 RAM is good for gaming. It is recommended for laptops and desktops. CL20 RAM is good for gaming and office applications. It is recommended for desktops and laptops. CL22 RAM is good for gaming, office applications and multimedia. It is recommended for desktop computers.
Is CL18 RAM bad?
RAM Random Access Memory is the main component of computer system. It stores data temporarily while the computer is processing instructions. If you are using an older computer, chances are that it uses DDR2 RAM. This type of RAM has two banks of memory chips. Each bank consists of four modules, each module contains eight memory chips. DDR3 RAM has three banks of memory chips. One bank consists of eight modules, each module contains sixteen memory chips. Ddr4 RAM has four banks of memory chips. Two banks consist of eight modules, each containing 32 memory chips. Dram is a brand name for DRAM. It stands for Dynamic Random Access Memory.
What do RAM CL numbers mean?
CLL Clock Low Latency is a feature that allows the processor to run faster because the CPU doesn’t wait for memory accesses to complete. It’s usually used for low latency applications such as article games. CL is the clock frequency. Higher CL means the CPU runs faster. Lower CL means the CPU waits longer for memory accesses to finish.
What is better higher or lower CL?
CL 16 18 18 means clock frequency of 16MHz + clock frequency of 18MHz = clock frequency of 34MHz. What does CLCD mean on RAM?
Which CL for RAM is better?
CL 18 means clock frequency of 18 MHz.
Is higher Cl better?
RAM CL stands for Random Access Memory Clock. It indicates how fast the memory chip works. The higher the number, the faster the chip. This is important because the processor needs to access the data quickly.
