One reason why I don’t like SLI is because it can limit you to use maxed GPU out at 2K resolution and 4K cannot be used with multiple cards for obvious reason: one card can not take all 4K stream simultaneously.

They both power consumption is different but SLI supports higher load than CrossfireX I suggest SLI should use one EVGA GTX1060 3GB . As I have stated above SLI supports max 2 cards (4 total) maximum power consumption is about 150 watts each card .CrossfireX uses 75W each card but with dual cards this may go higher depending on cooling solutions used on PC’s motherboard or chassis . As mentioned before SLI supports only 2 cards at max but 3 cards gives lower power consumption than 4 cards . My recommendation is 1 GTX1060 3GB .
Both cards are very efficient graphics card with average TDP around 70W each card as far as TDP goes . SLI requires very less space on chassis as compared with CrossfireX however requires dedicated PSU depending on graphics card used . If using SLI then select PSU with 80+ rating with at least 850W if using GTX1060 3GB .
